Construction Administration
Protect your budget, ensure compliance, and eliminate contractor risk. We manage the entire tendering and construction process for your sign project
Why Sign Construction Admin Matters
Pricing
Contractor pricing for the same sign varies between 35-60%. Most Owners overpay.
Liability
Poor construction causes lighting failures, water ingress, structural issues, and liability exposure.
Quality
Contractors build signs with no oversight. Leaving the final product low-quality and not to specification.
What We Do
Phase 1 — Tendering & RFQs
Rouge Hill Consulting works closely with the Owner to prepare a Specifications package, drawings and obtain permits for their signage. Once finalized and approved by the Owner and permits are received from the Municipality, we will prepare a Request For Quotation (RFQ) package and tender the project to a list of vetted signage contractors.
We collect quotations from the contractors, benchmark the pricing and provide a comparison matrix to the Owner.
The Owner selects their preferred contractor based on pricing, reviews and history.
Phase 2 — Construction Coordination
Rouge Hill Consulting will review shop drawings with the Owner and the selected Contractor to ensure all parties are aligned regarding the final product.
We will ensure all signage is manufactured in accordance the the Specifications and Approved Permit Drawings.
Once manufacturing is complete, consultants and Engineers will perform regular construction inspections to ensure signage is installed to specification. Structural details, waterproofing, electric, and overall aesthetics will be reviewed to ensure they match the design intention and safety.
Phase 3 — Quality Assurance & Closure
Rouge Hill Consulting will monitor closely for any deficiencies in construction. We will issue formal deficiency correction notices to ensure accuracy of construction.
Schedule and cost will be closely monitored and the Contractor will be subject to contract terms applied by Rouge Hill Consulting.
Rouge Hill Consulting will review all invoices submitted by the Contractor and issue Payment Certificates to ensure that the Owner is not paying a cent more than they are obligated to. All schedule deviations will be closely monitor by our team.
Once construction is complete, Rouge Hill Consulting will work with the Municipality to close any permits and coordinate sign-off with the contractor.
